Jordan Spieth is having quite the day.
Earlier in Day 3 of the John Deere Classic on Saturday, the 21-year-old drilled a flagstick from 144 yards away and dented the edge of the cup. At No. 17, he did hole out for eagle from 106 yards.
And it was absolutely stunning.
The funny thing? Spieth didn’t even look that pleased about the shot after he let it go. But he should be; he pulled off a birdie-eagle-birdie finish, scoring 61 and snatching the clubhouse lead (-17).
Spieth will play in the final group tomorrow alongside Danny Lee, who shot a 62 and captured his first PGA Tour victory earlier in July (which included a very entertaining victory press conference).
